The "Summer of Love" doesn't
have to end- the '69 Strat® pickups have the tone
you'll fall in love with. Own the tone that
defined an era. For a short period in the late
60's, Fender® used a height staggered Alnico 5's
and a special grey bobbin which produced clear,
transparent highs and thumping lows.
Fender® Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster® pickups produce
one of the most revered guitar sounds in popular
music history - the full, punchy late '60s blues
rock tone that ruled the era from Monterey on
the West Coast to Woodstock on the East Coast.
Because of the clarity and transparency created
by the unique coil wind and magnet structure,
the '69 pickup design works especially well with
pedals allowing the low end to thump and the
high end to soar.
Includes 6 nickel plated Phillips oval head mounting screws, 6
rubber surgical height adjustment tubing, white
pickup covers and wiring diagram. Packaging may
be visually different as Fender changes graphics
on packages from time to time.
As of mid 2011 the Custom
'69 pickup sets are no longer being dated and
initialed by Abigail Ybarra, they are still
exactly the same in construction and design, but
will no longer bear Abigail's inspection
markings on the bottom plate. This information
comes directly from Fender, if you have any
questions to this change please call Fender® direct at 480-596-7195.
