OverDrive Custom Guitar Works has
teamed up with the United States Postal Service and
PayPal to provide fast and efficient shipping and order
tracking information. Average time from order placement to receipt
of order is 1-6 business days with our standard Priority
Mail shipping (domestic orders only). Most orders ship within 24-72 hours
of order placement. On certain occasions we may utilize FedEx
as our shipping courier to provide the most cost
effective means of shipping. Shipments from
FedEx may take 1-6 business days to arrive from the time
of shipment (domestic orders only).
When we prepare your order for shipment you will receive
an email from PayPal (service@paypal.com)
that will contain the
USPS Delivery Confirmation number or FedEx tracking
number. Most orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail
and USPS First Class Parcel.
The "Delivery
Confirmation" number you receive for USPS shipments is not a transit
tracking number since the USPS is not required to scan the
package at the various sorting facilities in route to
your location, it is merely a proof of delivery for us,
that is why it is called "Delivery
Confirmation" and not "Tracking". However, it is
possible that a progress scan may occur at
various sorting facilities along the way but it is not a
requirement of the Delivery Confirmation service, so you
may not see any information on your shipment other than
"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by
the shipper to expect your package for mailing".
However, when you receive the email notification of
shipment from PayPal with the Delivery Confirmation
number that means your package has been prepared for
shipment and will ship the same day or the following
business day. Please be patient as it can take 2-3
business days to arrive and possibly longer depending on
regional weather conditions and/or excessive holiday
loads on the courier.
Shipping Insurance For
All Destinations
Insurance
coverage on all purchases is supplemental.
OverDrive Custom Guitar Works is not responsible for
lost or damaged shipments, that is why we recommend you
insure your shipment to safeguard your purchase.
To insure your
purchase against damage or loss in transit
use the following
drop-down menu to select coverage based on your total
merchandise cost. Insurance cost varies from
$3.00 to $9.00 for up to $600.00 of insurance coverage. As
you can see, insurance coverage is a nominal expense to protect
your valuable purchase and is a wise investment for
international shipments.
All shipments
to Italy are Required to purchase shipping insurance.
If you are shipping to Italy and you do
not purchase the required insurance at the time of
initial checkout you will be required to purchase
the insurance seperately before your merchandise ships.
Absolutely no exceptions. Sorry Italy, but with an
excessive history of non-delivery of parcels, it is now
required to protect your purchase against loss.

International Destination Shipping, Handling & Packaging Rates
The two international
shipping costs below (*) quoted as $42.00 and $53.00 are the initial billed rates
based on which shipping method you choose and are
applicable for most average weight international orders,
however, an additional shipping
charge may be required depending on the actual weight of your order.
If your international order costs less to ship than the
shipping cost you are initially billed then an
appropriate refund will be issued for the excess
shipping cost. Shipping costs are based on
postage, packing and processing fees.

The two above international
shipping rates ($42.00 and $53.00) are based on a
parcel weight of 4 pounds or less. If your order
weighs more than 4 pounds you will receive a PayPal
invoice requesting you to submit the additional
shipping amount required to ship your order.
However, shipping costs vary depending on
destination and some destinations cost more than
others for the same weight of parcel, so even if
your order is less than 4 pounds it may still
require additional shipping for some destinations.
These shipping rates cover most average size orders.
Not all countries allow an Express Mail shipment to
be tendered and this expedited shipping option may
not be available for your country.
