IMPORTANT SHIPPING RATE CHANGES:

On January 22, 2012 the United States Postal Service has increased their shipping rates as much as 26% for certain destinations.

If you are outside the United States please read this page completely to fully understand how your final shipping charge will be determined.

Unfortunately, there is no clear way to accurately determine international shipping costs at the time of checkout, there is too much variance in shipping costs to different countries with the same parcel weight, and your shipping cost can only be determined once your specific order has been prepared for shipment.  All international customers will be charged one of the two shipping rates ($47 or $54) shown below in GREEN, depending on which shipping method you select (Priority or Express). This shipping cost is based on the most common and average size order weight of 2-3 pounds, but if your order costs less to ship then the amount you were charged, a refund will be issued for the excess shipping cost based on the chart below.  If your orders shipping weight is more than 3 pounds you will receive a PayPal invoice requesting the additional shipping cost required to ship your order. Your final shipping charge will be determined by the destination, merchandise packaged weight, merchandise value, packing materials and method of shipment.

We will always keep your final shipping cost as fair as possible considering its size, weight and destination along with our costs incurred in preparing your order for shipment.

Below you'll notice a range of costs for each weight class, this is because shipping costs vary to different countries for the same parcel weight.  Shipping costs to the UK are the most expensive, where as all other countries are less for the same parcel weight.

USPS Priority Air Mail International shipping costs for certain countries will start at $33 ($25 for Canada, $39 for the UK) for the lightest weight parcels (up to 1 pound). If your order weight qualifies for this cost then an appropriate refund will be issued based the amount you were charged for shipping at the time of checkout. From there the rates go up at 1 pound increments. Transit time is estimated at 6-10 business days, but is not guaranteed and does not include customs clearance time.

USPS Express Air Mail International shipping costs for certain countries will start at $40 ($33 for Canada, $44 for the UK) for the lightest weight parcels (up to 1 pound). If your order weight qualifies for this cost then an appropriate refund will be issued based the amount you were charged for shipping at the time of checkout. From there the rates go up at 1 pound increments. Transit time is estimated at 5 business days, but is not guaranteed and does not include customs clearance time.

On certain occasions we may be able to use USPS First Class International shipping, and rates start at $8.00 for the lightest of parcels. This shipping method can only be used for the lower cost merchandise and fairly lightweight parcels. If your order qualifies for this low cost shipping then you will be sent an email after you place your order asking if you would like to select this low cost shipping service, and if you select it, you will be issued a partial refund based on the amount you were initially charged for shipping.  With this method of shipping your order can possibly take up to 4 weeks to arrive, and on occasion even longer. Transit times vary from country to country and the USPS does not provide estimated transit times or tracking for this service.

IMPORTANT! If you require the ability to track your shipment progress then you must have your order shipped by USPS Priority Air Mail International or USPS Express Air Mail International. If instead, you select the USPS First Class International shipping method then you will NOT have the ability to track your shipment, so please do not email us after your order has shipped asking us to check into the shipping status of your order, you will just have to wait for it to arrive, which it will, you just have to be patient.  If you require a faster shipment and progress tracking of your order, you MUST select USPS Priority Air Mail International or USPS Express Air Mail International.

Shipping Insurance For International Destinations

To insure your purchase against damage or loss in transit use the following drop-down menu to select coverage based on the total cost of the merchandise you are purchasing.  Insurance cost varies from $3.00 to $9.00 for up to $600.00 of insurance coverage.  The price of insurance is quite nominal and worth the peace of mind knowing that in the event of loss or damage your merchandise is protected.  OverDrive Custom Guitar Works is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments if insurance is not purchased.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All shipments to Italy are Required to purchase shipping insurance.  If you are shipping to Italy and you do not purchase shipping insurance at the time of checkout you will be requested to purchase the insurance separately before your merchandise will ship. It's unfortunate that Italy has an excessive history of non-delivery of parcels, so it is now required for customers from Italy to protect their purchase against loss with insurance.

Purchases made from outside the United States may be subject to additional costs such as duties, taxes and customs clearance fees which may be required at the time of delivery and are the sole responsibility of the buyer.  OverDrive Custom Guitar Works does not set any of these additional costs, duties, taxes or fees, these are assessed by your countries customs agency based on the value of the merchandise you are importing.   We will not falsify the U.S. Customs document to declare a value less than the actual value of the merchandise.
